Seven things you didn't know (and probably wouldn't if it weren't for this post)

1.
I hate odd numbers. I can't stand them. The number 1 is okay though. Odd numbers creep me out. Okay that was lame.

2.
I sucked my left thumb until I was 12. I am very ashamed of it, but I did. I only stopped when i got a retainer that had prongs on the back so I couldn't.

3.
I think that everybody on earth has some void in their life. Something that makes them feel un-whole. I do not wish this upon anybody. But someone always has a mission, someone always has a dire need for something.
4.
Number four is sort of a continuation of number three. My grandfather (DeWitt Anderson, my father's father) died when Dad was in high school. The void in my life is my grandfather. I want so badly to know who he was. What he sounded like, what he smelled like, i want to know who he was. Who would he be? What would I call him? He was a beautiful man from the pictures I have seen.

5.
I love Eminem, he is sort of my secret obsession. I want to be a cool as he is. He seems so troubled and I really want to give him a hug!

6.
Pictionary is one of my favorite games. We play it pretty much everyday at lunch. I get a bit crazy sometimes though, I am a sore winner when it comes to pictionary...

7.
I have so much love in my heart for Texas, I can't really explain it. I would never leave it. I love it. I love Austin. I love our history. I think Texas is so beautiful and diverse. Diverse in the people, the climates, the history!

whoa! was that already seven!

Ironic isn't it?

So in English we are learning about transcendentalism. I love it. I love it so much. I love Emerson the most. BUT so they were all like hippies and like "NOOOO lets go live at Walden Pond!" (Thoreau) they didn't have technology and went against modern technology during their time. Well, I have been having some troubles with my computer. And was hoping hoping hoping that I wouldn't have to go back and lose all of my stuff. My computer was so cute. I had all of the usual, pictures, videos, FREAKING MUSIC!?!! I have like 500 songs on iTunes, gone. Every single Full Service song possible on Windows Media Player, gone. I am so over it. My creepy videos of Sara-Jane, (accessible but still) gone. My creepy Taylor Trensch (among many others) creepy pictures, gone! I could not believe it. I had so much stufffffff. Maybe that's what did it! I had to re-install/download skype. And now this retarded Norton thing is on my toolbar, I WANT MY YAHOO TOOLBAR BACK!!! WAAAA! This sucks. I want to move to a little cabin in the woods. I hate this. I want to cry. UGH!!

Have a good day!

Full Service

SO there is this local Austin band, Full Service. They. Are.....WOW. I was turned on to them by my sweet best friend Kayla. Its so hard to describe them. Like hippies, but rock music, but reggae, and some like metal, they pretty much have created a new genre. The two lead singers Hoag and Bonesaw (stage names) are brothers. And the bass player and percussion man, Twinky P and Smell (also stage names) are super talented and really cool people. I love the mix of songs they have. They are so unique, they have really heavy songs about really light things. (a song that's hardcore about Tomatoes...) the contrast in the music is really awesome too! Here is a picture of each member:

Quotable, Notable, and Dotable: My Top Ten Favorite Quotes

Here is a list of my top ten favorite quotes!

10.
"A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest of men." -Gene Wilder (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.) Lighten up! Even Elmer Fudd needs a laugh sometimes!

9.
"I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas Edison When you fail you learn! And knowledge is power so failing leads to success! Quoted by one of the most successful people in history.

8.
"Give me an army of West Point Graduates and I'll win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies, and I'll win a war." -Gen. George S. Patton I'm kind of a huge Aggie. Gig 'em! (I don't want to hear about it Sara-Jane)

7.
"Man will do many things to get himself loved, he will do all things to get himself envied." -Mark Twain I find this so true. I just want to be loved- don't you? And when people envy you (this is the case for me at least...) feel better about myself. I don't necessarily do anything to be envied, but its nice to feel good about yourself!

6.
"Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart." -Confucius We all need to follow our hearts, our dreams, our passions! Go where your heart leads. If it leads you to dark alley way...turn around and redirect yourself. Stop only when your heart is full and whole. Don't turn back on yourself, you'll just end up stuck.

(I feel like you Sara-Jane, puttin' art up on my blog!)

5.
"If you're a bird, I'm a bird." -Noah Calhoun (The Notebook) Oh man, if you have ever seen the Notebook, this is pretty much always going to be top ten! Such a sweet love between Noah and Allie. I know I want it. And I mean, come on- who doesn't want love?!

4.
"Shame is nothing but a product of education." -Melchior Gabor (Spring Awakening) I wish I lived by this. I wish I could stand up to people, or just talk to random strangers. I need to start being more bold.

3.
"In the end, it is not the years in your life that matter, it is the life in your years." -Abraham Lincoln In my opinion, life is about quality- not so much quantity. Life is something we all get to experience. If you want to have a bad time here on earth, go ahead, I want to enjoy my stay while I can. That doesn't mean you have to be happy and perfect all the time; its okay to be grumpy, just throw yourself a pity party and move on! Learn from your mistakes! Keep on keepin on!

2.
"Guilt is a wicked ghost." -Evie Walton (Driving Lessons) I love it because it is just so true. I do something even sort of wrong and I worry, and fret because of it. And especially if you meant to hurt someone, or something, if you meant it- you won't ever get away from it.

1.
"Poor thing! I think she must be constipated." -Reba Freitag [I'll give no explanation]

Book Hunting, and Midlife Crisis-ing

This post is going to be mostly about Spring Awakening. Does it hold a very special place in my heart? Yes, indeed. Who am I to thank for this sweet love? A friend of mine, who is very near and dear to me; Miss Sara-Jane Shepperd introduced me to this lust filled show. My love for it is not worthy of comparason to her enfatuation with the show. I love Spring Awakening very much and I also love her very much. The not-as-important rest of the post is about a "king" of counrty music. We shall format this premiere post in a numerical fashion. Let us begin!

1.) Spring Awakening is tied for first place in my favorite musical standings. The play it is based on is Spring Awakening: A Children's Tragedy by Frank Wedekind. I searched for the play on Google Books and was told that Barnes & Noble had the book for 9 dollars and some odd cents. Today my mother, sister, and I headed off to B&N despite sick nasty weather. I asked the helper man where I could find the book, he willingly helped me and took me over a few rows and down near the end. He looked and looked for it but it was a no-go. Now, I understand that a book can go out of stock, whatever, it happens all the time right? Well, the lovely man informed me that they had to order it, and that they had ordered it but this particular play was really hard to get. He (I should have read his name tag) also told me that because the musical had just been in town, a bunch of (stupid) people started buying it. At this fact I was outraged. I wanted that play, I needed that play. It was the first book that I had read (first six pages on Google Books) and not wanted to stop reading since reading my current favorite book (An Abundance of Katherine's* by John Green) which I had read a long time ago. UGH. I want to read it so badly it pains my heart to think that I may have to wait!

2.) WTF GEORGE STRAIT!?! OKAY. So my sister, Emily, is into country music. She told me that George Strait is having a midlife crisis. I asked her how she knows this and she told me to look up his newest album cover called Twang. I did. And oh wow was she right. Here is the epic picture.

*My most favoritest book ever. Go read it. Seriously.
